Oh baby, get ready for a juicy dive into wedding day magic! Today, we’re breaking down how to pose a bride and groom in a way that’s not only efficient but also delivers stunning photos every single time. Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, you’ll find some nuggets of wisdom here to up your game. Let’s jump right in, shall we?

Quick and Varied Shots

Wedding days can be insanely hectic, especially when it’s hot out. We aim to work fast while still getting a variety of shots. Here’s the strategy: start with the basics and build up to the more dynamic poses. For example, we’ll start with the couple wrapped around each other’s waists, smiling, and looking at the camera. From there, we’ll get some giggly close-ups and serious, classic shots. The goal is to pose a bride and groom in ways that look effortless yet elegant.

Moving Through the Day

As the day progresses, we adapt our poses. Early in the day, it’s all about the classics – the timeless poses that everyone loves. But come golden hour, post-ceremony, it’s time to get creative. Liz’s dress will be bustled, they’ll be more relaxed, and we’ll capture some truly joyful moments. Think slow-motion running, playful lifts, and all the romance of sunset lighting. The Posing for Purpose Method

Ever wonder how we flow so seamlessly from one pose to another? It’s all thanks to our Posing for Purpose Method. This system starts with a simple pose, adds variations, and finishes with a prompt to capture natural expressions. We repeat this cycle to ensure we cover all the bases – from formal shots to candid moments. If you want to learn more about this method, we offer a free workshop where we break it all down. You can join from the comfort of your home, in your sweatpants, with your coffee or wine in hand. Check the link HERE to sign up!

Fun and Flirty Poses

Let’s get into some specifics. One of our go-to poses is having the couple wrap their arms around each other’s waists, with the groom slipping a hand into his pocket for that casual, relaxed vibe. Then, we get them to lean in for a kiss on the forehead or cheek – so sweet! We also love a good walking shot. Have them walk towards the camera, sneaking glances at each other, and throwing in some laughs. It’s all about capturing the love and fun they share.

The Veil Magic

Don’t forget the veil! It’s a fantastic prop. We’ll have Nick wrap his arms around Liz’s waist, and then we sneak them both under the veil for some intimate, romantic shots. Liz can show off her ring, and they can share a quiet moment together. These photos are always a hit and add a touch of fairy-tale magic to the wedding album.
