Chicago Destination Engagement Session
We were SO excited to head out to Chicago for Mikayla and Jonnie’s engagement session. Chicago was the first destination we ever traveled to for a session. That time, we blew out a tire 30 minutes away from the city, so we hoped this trip went smoother. First step, we took a plane this time. Get excited for this Chicago destination engagement session!
Travel Sessions
One thing that we think is super fun about traveling to our couples is that we get to see their lives in a place they call home. Neither Mikayla or Jonnie grew up in Chicago. But getting to hear where they head to dinner or about their favorite areas of the city just makes it so much more special. We spent a ton of our time around Millennium Park and Lurie Gardens, a place they’ll often walk about in the summers. We had so much fun giggling all around there. By the time we headed to North Avenue Beach, the sun was almost gone.
Chicago Sunsets
Some of our favorite photos ever were the result of the sun setting fast and a purple haze swirling around the Chicago skyline. We love the lights of the city framing Mikayla and Jonnie. We’re soooo freakin’ excited to photograph their Memorial Weekend wedding at Minneapolis Event Centers! MEC is one of those venues that feels like a staple in the Minneapolis wedding industry, yet somehow, this will be our first time photographing there! Though, we know the St. Anthony Main area like the back of our hand and absolutely LOVE all the fun photo ops, so it’s sure to be a good time!!
