Update on our Summer
This summer has been a busy one for sure! It marks our first “busy season” as full-time photographers. That means we took on a ton of clients because we just absolutely love working with everyone. We are busy photographing every night (most nights, multiple shoots, and many nights at the Arboretum) which keeps us busy during the day with editing, contracts, and scheduling shoots. On top of that, the wedding end of our business has been thriving. We photograph 32 weddings this year! And to add even more to our schedule, we’ve been fortunate enough to travel a ton this busy season. Since the end of May, we’ve been to Europe (Iceland, England, and Spain), Banff and Yoho National Parks, and Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. We’re excited that the rest of our busy season still includes a trip to Chicago and a trip to Portland/the Oregon Coast! We absolutely love all of the adventuring that photography has blessed us with.
But most evenings are spent with seniors in the summer. By far, the place we photograph seniors the most is the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The location offers so many different vibes – from fields to frolic in, to structures like pergolas and arches, to textures on the main building. It’s really the jack of all trades for a senior session. Plus, we hold a permit that allows us to photograph there whenever we would like and allows our guests to get in for free. Our Senior Experiences are only an hour, but by the end of that time, we’ve trekked all around the Arb and gotten you a wealth of different looks. We would love to share with you guys a little taste of a Senior Experience at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This session features Abby. Abby was SO much fun on her shoot. She giggled, ran down open roads, and crawled through fields for some amazing shots. You rock Abby! Take a peek!
