Follow along with us as we head to Thrive Photo Conference in Santa Barbara, California! We spent three full days listening to talented speakers, building amazing relationships, and having the BEST time. Not to mention thriving in the beautiful California weather!
Welcome to Santa Barbara!
We started out our trip at MSP with our all-time favorite. A trip is not complete if we don’t stop at Joe & The Juice in the airport. It’s the only one around and it’s THE BEST.
We landed in Denver and we were delayed a bit, so we just chilled until we got on our final flight to California! We ended up landing at 10:45pm California time which is 12:45pm our time. Plane rides are tiring so we were extra excited to get to our hotel!
Good Morning, Santa Barbara!
Day number 1 in Santa Barbara! We woke up and got ready in the hotel, grabbed breakfast, and headed on over to the venue to get registered! We thought that they would have a coffee cart there and we were excited to stroll along the beach in Santa Barbara because we hadn’t seen it in the daytime yet!
After the first round of speakers and sitting through some amazing and insightful presentations, we got to breakout into groups and have dinner! We had some AMAZING tacos and had great conversations throughout the night.
Cam tried a new drink at a fun spot we found. They served fun cocktails in some crazy glasses and overall, it was such a great night.
Day 2 of Thrive Photo Conference
Day 2 of the conference and we are back at the venue! The first day felt like such a whirlwind, we met so many fun people! My favorite part of the whole day was probably snuggling up with Cam at the end of the day and talking about all of the amazing people we’ve met, the ideas we have, and the fun things we’ve learned. We felt so inspired and excited after Day 1!
After another morning of great presentations, we all snuck out for some lunch! After lunch, we headed out to do others’ headshots in the courtyard of the courthouse and Cam & I even got to model for the other photographers! It was so beautiful while we were there, we loved every second of it.
We then had a mini styled shoot just right in the streets of Santa Barbara and it was so fun. After going back to the hotel, we dressed up for the first party of the trip! The theme of the party was extraterrestrial so you know I brought some glitter!
Cam sported a sparkly white blazer with a black turtleneck, black pants, and sneakers while I wore a sparkly silver blazer, black pants, and of course glitter on the face! There was drinks, dancing, photos, and soo many laughs. It was an out-of-this-world BLAST!
After the party, we headed back to the hotel to get some much needed rest. We were tired but overall, it was a SUCCESSFUL day!
Final Day at Thrive Photo Conference
Day 3 began back at the venue where we kicked off the final day of the conference! The plan for the final day was to listen to two final speakers and then I was going to head off to a styled shoot on a sail boat! I was so excited because I’ve actually never sailed in the ocean before! Then finally, we wrapped up the conference with a gala. So let’s do this!
We dressed up for the gala once the night rolled back around. Cam sported a velvet red jacket with a black bow tie and I opted for a floor length silver gown.
The gala was incredible! Candles everywhere, with champagne towers and beautiful florals. It was an absolute blast to dress up together and attend this gala!
We were up late and living our best lives and then we got breakfast with some friends before heading to the airport. We PACKED the car full of all of our friends to head to a yummy, yummy breakfast.
That wrapped up our Thrive Conference vlog! It was a 10/10 experience full of amazing people and it was so freakin’ fun.
