Beacons of Minocqua Wedding

After attending 100’s of weddings, we strongly feel that you should be intentional and create a day full of personal touches. There’s no point in spending the day just doing things because you’re supposed to. Instead, it’s your one wedding day ever, so we encourage our couples to blaze their own trail. Well, Ellis and Brooks’ Beacons of Minocqua wedding was just that: deeply personal and *bonus points* fuuuuuull of giddy joy! Ellis’ grandparents own a cabin on the resort and the area is profoundly special to her. So Ellis and Brooks had all of their favorite people trek up to Northern Wisconsin to show off the tall pines, beautiful lake bays, and quaint town.

Ellis and Brooks’ descended the lodge’s stairs to say personal vows in the summer (transitioning into fall) sun overlooking the lake. After the ceremony, they hopped on their grandpa’s boat for a private lap around the lake while their guests vibed at cocktail hour with acoustic tunes sung by Tobias Jansen, snacking on delicious apps like duck wontons, sipped on drinks, and played epic yard games like mini golf and bean bag corn hole. Their gorgeous clear tent in the woods (underneath a bald eagle nest) was home to their reception where their DJ and dance floor went hard, guests had Culver’s for dessert, and we sipped on aperol spritzes (after our coverage was done, of course ;)).

But most of all, as it should be, Ellis and Brooks are the stars of this show. They are just incredible. We went back to our cabin that night just gushing about how wonderful they are. They are unbelievably kind and together, oh wow guys, they are magnetic. Their chemistry is off the charts and they are PURE JOY. Watching them get to see each other for the first time and do a practice run through of their vows was – UGH, unreal. We love you guys!
