Slacking Here?! Your Biz will Fail

Are you slacking here?! Get the inside scoop on grip and grins and why they’re essential for your wedding photography business!

Have you been slacking here in this area of your biz? Do you want to a cringe-worthy story about our first year of biz? Then this week’s video is for you! Tune in to learn about a MAJOR marketing tool that we weren’t doing, and one that your biz will thank you for!

As wedding photographers, it’s easy to get caught up in taking the “perfect” shots during the ceremony and reception. But what about during cocktail hour, when guests are mingling and having a good time? This is where “grip and grins” come in.

You may be thinking, “What in the world are grip and grins?” Don’t worry, we were in the same boat when we first started out in the wedding photography business. But trust us, these photos are a game changer.

Grip and grins are simply photos of your wedding guests during cocktail hour. It may seem like a small thing, but these photos serve a big purpose. For starters, they give you an opportunity to get to know your clients’ guests and show off your personality. Plus, they provide your clients with photos of all of their guests, not just the wedding party and VIPs.

Think about it, your clients will have countless memories of their special day, but they may not have photos of all of their guests. And who doesn’t love a photo with their friends and family to look back on?

But it’s not just about the photos, it’s also about the interaction. By going around to different groups of guests during cocktail hour, you have the chance to get to know them and make a lasting impression. This not only shows your clients that you care, but it also helps you stand out from the competition.

In our latest YouTube video, we share our own experience with grip and grins and show live footage from a recent wedding. You’ll see just how much fun we had interacting with the guests and taking their photos. It’s a playful and lighthearted approach that showcases our personality and love for what we do.

So, if you’ve been slacking here.. don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and take some grip and grins during your next wedding. Your clients and their guests will thank you!
