As we round the New Year, we are starting to gear up to our Senior Experience sessions. Sessions this year will be released on April 1st, 2018 (no, this is not an April Fool’s joke)! Sessions will first pre-release to our Class of 2019 Spokesmodels and then go out to the general public on the 1st. Want to be the first to hear about them and snag up a session? Shoot us an email at hello@cameronandtia.com and we will put you on an email list. The last two senior seasons, we have sold out – so make sure you book early! In honor of this preparation beginning, we have a few tips and tricks for your Senior Experience.
Early is On Time!
We will start on time! Being lovers of natural light, our timing for the session isn’t a coincidence, it is scheduled so that we have the best lighting for your photos. Trust us, we are the people looking at the sunset schedule a year in advance. when you find yourself planning please be sure to allow enough time for travel or traffic. We will shoot until the sun sets, so if we begin a bit late, we won’t be able to stay late. This just ensures that we are in the right place or the right light and will give you the best results.
It’s All About the Preparation
Come prepared! You can arrive in your first outfit. Think about little details like having manicured nails and the right colored socks to help ease stress. Consider setting out your outfits the night before to make sure you have every accessory you want photographed ready. Make sure to try on outfits with the applicable undergarments. It is very tough to edit out bra straps, so wear something that will stay covered. Bring all outfits on hangers to avoid wrinkles. Put shoes, undergarments, and accessories in a big bag so that we can transport them around with us. Be prepared to change in odd places or oftentimes, your car. Don’t worry, we will stand guard.
Who’s Coming With?
Remember to consider carefully who will be attending your shoot with you (if anyone). Being alone may allow you more room to be yourself and be free of expectations and pressure. Or you may need someone else to make you feel comfortable. Either way, we are ready for you!
Let’s Do This!
It’s more than okay to feel nervous. Please know that we do not expect you to be a model. Our job is to direct you in a way that helps you relax, feel natural, and be true to your comfortable selves in front of our lens. You do not need to practice poses, study Pinterest pins, or let the nerves take over. By the end of the session, you will be relaxed and most of all, having fun!
You made it! Let’s enjoy some gorgeous photos of Class of 2018 senior, Miss Rachel – woot woot!
