Fall wedding season is right around the corner, and today, we’re going to spill all the tea on how to pose wedding parties. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a seasoned pro, these tips are going to level up your game. So, let’s jump right in and make sure your wedding party photos are lit!

Creating the Vibe

First up, setting the right vibe is crucial. For Kristin and Dan’s wedding in downtown Minneapolis, we had this epic backdrop of the city right across the river. Perfect for those golden hour shots! When you pose wedding parties, it’s all about making everyone feel comfortable and having a blast. Our style is loud, crazy, and super engaging – trust us, it works like a charm.

Getting Started

We kicked things off with some fun, relaxed shots. The key to pose wedding parties is to start with easy, natural poses to get everyone in the groove. We had the bridal party wrap their arms around each other’s waists, just like they were when they were goofing around with their glasses earlier. This helps everyone loosen up and sets the stage for the more structured shots.

Mixing It Up

Next, we got into some dynamic poses. We had everyone line up and gave them different heights and layers using natural terrain. For example, we did this cool waterfall effect with the bridesmaids’ bouquets. When you pose wedding parties, variety is your best friend. Switch up the poses, get creative with angles, and make sure to capture the unique personalities in the group.

The Guys and Gals

For the groomsmen, we went for those classic, serious GQ vibes and then flipped it with some goofy, over-the-top poses. Sunglasses on, sunglasses off – you get the idea. The bridal party, on the other hand, gave us those perfect giggles and serious model looks. The contrast between the guys’ and gals’ poses really adds depth to your photo collection.

Bringing the Energy

Energy is everything. We had the wedding party walking while screaming and yelling to amp up the bride. It’s all about capturing that raw, candid joy. When you pose wedding parties, don’t be afraid to get a little wild. The excitement and movement translate into dynamic, lively photos that the couple will love.

Wrapping It Up

Finally, we wrapped things up with a bang. We had everyone get super close and cozy, showing off those tight-knit bonds. A few serious poses, a few fun ones, and voila – a perfect mix of photos that truly capture the essence of the day.
