North Shore Adventure Session
We absolutely love the North Shore. We truly believe that the North Shore is one of the reasons Minnesota is such a great state. So when we headed up the shore last minute this past fall, we were excited to shoot in one of our favorite places (Palisade Head) and a few places that we had been scouting for a while.
Stacia and Spencer, newly married and ready for adventure, joined us up North! Somehow their sessions are always magic. If you follow us on instagram, you’ve probably definitely seen these two before. So much so that in our “top nine” most liked images of 2018, yes, our faces did show up there three times, but so did Stacia and Spencer’s. There was one from their engagement session, one from their wedding, and one from this session! Yep, our insta crowd loves Stacia and Spencer! And we’re sure you guys are going to too!
Our Fav Stops on the North Shore
While we absolutely love the North Shore for all of it’s photos ops and awesome hikes, it has also some of our favorite stops, too! Here’s five of our faves:
Larsmont Cottages
Our first trip to the North Shore we stayed at the adorable Larsmont Cottages and since then, we’ve been obsessed. We’ve stayed at Larsmont in every season and enjoyed their restaurant (with some of the best sangria known to man, not an exaggeration), the massage cottage, walks along the lake, and even got to photograph Danika + Blake’s wedding there! P.S. it was obviously one of our fav venues of 2018 🙂
Duluth Cider
Duluth Cider is a new taproom full of cider flights that are delicious! The two of us love ciders, so this place is a home run!
Great Lakes Candy Kitchen
Full of candy in a tiny one block settlement along the shore? Yep, a complete dream.
Bent Paddle Brewery
There’s a ton of cool breweries in Duluth but Bent Paddle tops our list because of the aesthetic. It’s freakin’ cute and you’ll love the vibe.
Betty’s Pies
The North Shore Staple – we have to stop here on each trip. It’s truly not a North Shore trip without burgers, pie for Tia, and a pie in a shake for Cam.
