Nicollet Island Pavilion Wedding

Michelle and Jared’s engagement session was pure perfection for us. We had the most beautiful September weather with that cozy warmth still shining down on us but a cool, fall breeze blowing through our hair too. Jared and Michelle are so funny. They kept us laughing through the entire shoot. And then, near the end, while we were at Boom Island Park, we captured an image that ended up on the surprise slideshow that Michelle’s sister put together for their wedding day. Michelle is looking at the camera while Jared is fixated on her. He looks at her with all the love in the world, completely absorbed. We love this image so much. And after an engagement session that full of love, we couldn’t wait for a wedding that we hoped would be just the same.

All of the Anticipation

On the wedding day, Michelle got ready with her girls in a beautiful condo full of windows overlooking Gold Medal Park and Stone Arch Bridge. She laughed and hugged all of her girls and I had no idea she was nervous for the day until we got in the car to drive to the first look. Then, it was clear that a tiny bit of anxiousness had creeped in the car with us. She couldn’t wait to do their first look.

Jared, on the other hand, had his nervousness on full display. He paced back and forth at the hotel. He nervously fidgeted with his hands. As they were getting ready to leave for the first look, he kept forgetting little things he wanted to bring. They both were so nervous for the first look. When they embraced in a huge hug on the rooftop of Hewing Hotel, it was clear that these two felt at home in each other’s arms. Tears streamed down their faces as they wrapped up. The nervousness and anticipation disappeared now that they were together and they were ready for their big day.

A Beautiful Ceremony at Nicollet Island Pavilion

Jared and Michelle had a beautiful ceremony at Nicollet Island Pavilion. There was a point in the ceremony where they completed their unity ceremony. They had put letters and a bottle of wine in a box to be opened if the seas got rough. Jared and Michelle returned to their ceremony spots and held hands. Jared looked out at all those gathered around them to witness them become husband and wife. And Michelle stood on the other side looking at Jared. Looking at him, even fixated on him with all the love in the world, completely absorbed. And that’s why Michelle and Jared are so amazing. They love each other hard. Congratulations Michelle and Jared! We feel so lucky to have spent this time with you and get to tag along on a beautiful Nicollet Island Pavilion wedding! It was beyond words beautiful!
