Mayowood Stone Barn
Things you can’t miss from this Mayowood Stone Barn wedding of Jaeda & Mitchell:
-Mayowood Stone Barn (an absolute favorite venue for us, nothing can beat the ceremony tree, stone structures, and tiny details throughout the property). Everything is 10/10. Plus, catch an incredible ceremony under that tree with personal vows and aaaaaaall the tears. Get your kleenex ready!
-A nutso-amazing sunset. We love sunset photos not just for the ooey-gooey-ness that is very emblematic of our work, but more-so for the moments that our couples create during these photos. We hope that Jaeda and Mitchell remember standing out in the middle of the road, completely free and giddy and soaking in the warmth around them
-COLOR – you know we love color and it just pops at this wedding. You must see the amazing Beezie’s Blooms florals and the stunning mismatched velvet bridesmaid dresses. If you’ve been nervous about color, please take a look at this post and you’ll die! Absolutely gorgeous! Color adjacent: Jaeda’s brother and fiance gifted the couple a bible with a hand-painted Mayowood Stone Barn on it that is one of the most special wedding keepsakes we’ve ever seen.
-Jaeda & Mitchell’s nephews and nieces are an absolute YES! Now, we are sometimes a little hot and cold on children at and more importantly IN weddings. We often see how stressful it can be for the parents and some childrens’ temperaments aren’t necessarily the perfect fit for having to wear rigid clothes and smile in a bunch of photos all day. So knowing we were going to take a handful of photos with nine nieces and nephews, we were a tiny bit nervous. But, we fully retract our hesitation – these kids were amazing! I mean yeah, they absolutely all smiled for photos, but more importantly, they were kind, having a great time, creative, and excited to celebrate their uncle and his new wife. What a testament to the parents that raised them.
-Really, this list was about to keep going and going but I need to pause and show you the photos, hehe 😉
Jaeda & Mitchell
Now, we know this blog post isn’t about us, so we promise this will circle back to Jaeda and Mitchell. We left this wedding feeling amazing. To be honest, wedding photography is a pretty tough job sometimes. We run around, we pour all of our energy into everyone around us, and at the end of a 9 hour day, we’re ready to conk out and ice our joints. But after Jaeda and Mitchell’s wedding, we were still feeling on top of the world. This is such a testament to Jaeda and Mitchell. They are kind, always checking on us (what?! We’re supposed to be the ones checking on you guys!), giving us a thumbs up or a wink, and pouring their contagious joy out to everyone around them.
When I found out that Mitchell was his high school homecoming king, that totally checked out. The immediate magnetism that Jaeda and Mitchell have is clearly evident (evident enough that a whole high school voted on it to crown Mitchell homecoming king ;)). You put them together and they are a straight power couple (literally, we’ve got two doctors over here)! We even felt that when we met them at Liz & Nick’s wedding back in 2020. You guys, all that to say, you’re absolutely wonderful.
Jaeda and Mitchell, we have had SO much fun with you guys from Taylors Falls to climbing over rock walls. You guys are pure joy and we are wishing you a lifetime of happiness! XOXOXO love you guys!
