Today, Tia’s breaking down our favorite type of prompts: joyful ones!! Woohoo! We’ve got three good ones to bring out the giggles and laughter for your couples photoshoot!

Joy is HUGE for us and we always want our photos to reflect joy and happiness. It’s the most important thing to capture from our couples. To take it to the next level we love creating an entire experience for our couples. This way, the session is more than just getting certain shots and can be an incredible date for them!
The Swim & Wrap
A little extension from the typical prom pose, we have them face their feet the same direction, hold their arms out wide, & link fingers, and do a swimming motion. PLUS bonus points for the couple looking back at each other. Then, when I cue them, they wrap and melt into each other. Sounds effects, some all-out demonstrations and constant feedback will guarantee some giggles.
Drawing on the Cheek
Chest to chest, grad hands down low and then a little activity! We tell one person to use their nose and try to draw any shape on the the other person’s cheek that’s away from us; then the other person can guess. This automatically creates a cozy & cute photo of them nuzzling in. And then there’s typically a reaction photo full of smiles and laughter!
Swaying Prom Pose
After the couple has their basic prom pose (feet facing the same way, with back arm looped around) mastered, we have them lean in and away to the camera. From there we give them little add-ons with glances back, little kisses or going crazy fast. It will feel ridiculous but look super cute!
