Welcome back to our Florence, Italy vlog where we are in. our. feels. We are so excited to be back in Italy, where we haven’t been since our honeymoon in 2016. To shoot our first ever European wedding, we are back in this beautiful city to photograph Olivia & Connor at Castello del Trebbio – tune in to see the behind the scenes clips of our amazing time in Florence!

The last time we were in Italy was in 2016 for our honeymoon. We were newlyweds and on our very first trip to Europe, ever! So many times we’ve talked about how we want to go back to Italy, but also, there are so many places we want to see. Sometimes it feels like we can’t go somewhere we’ve already been.

However, we’re back in Florence, Italy, which was one of our stops on our honeymoon trip. So to go back to Florence when we have a million other bucket list destinations seems insane, but because we’re SO fortunate and have such an amazing job, we’re back!

We got brought here by clients to photograph their wedding and so we get to go back to one of our favorite places ever. We get to have gelato, see the rolling hills, see the golden sunset and photograph a couple here. It’s insane, we get emotional just thinking about it.

First Full Day in Florence, Italy

Our first stop on our Florence, Italy vlog is the grocery store! We stayed just outside of Florence in an apartment so we needed food to make breakfast, dinner, and some snacks. We made it back to our apartment that we were staying in, and it was HUGE. So fun to stay in a real Italian apartment for a few days!

The next morning, we headed over to Castello del Trebbio to see it for the first time. We checked in and made our way to a cooking class – the Master Chef Experience!

The cooking class was so wonderful, we’re basically pro chefs now (LOL). We met some great people, did a wine tasting, and enjoyed our delicious food.

In the afternoon, we drove into the city and parked at Piazza del Michelangelo. It was a test drive into the city to see if we would be able to drive into the city the next day for Olivia & Connor’s wedding or if it would be too stressful. After taking in the views, we decided to try and get pizza at a place we went during our honeymoon. We didn’t know exactly where it was but we still talk about it all the time – so we wanted to make it an adventure and try and find it.

We settled in on a place and we’re like 80% sure it was the right restuarant.

Wedding Day at Castello del Trebbio

We woke up just so excited for this day. Olivia and Connor were getting married in the hills outside of Florence. This is our first European wedding ever, so to say we’re excited would be an understatement. We got to Castello del Trebbio and met up with them while they ate breakfast, so we captured a little bit of that and head into the city!

Cam drove us into Florence where we got some great photos of Olivia and Connor and some incredible views of Florence. We all got lunch and some gelato and headed back to Castello del Trebbio for their wedding!

We all sat under the twinkling lights on the terrace of Castello del Trebbio and ate the most delicious meal. Starting with risotto, then a fruit plate, some steak and potatoes, and then finishing it off with dessert. It was a perfect day in Florence, and we are so grateful to be here.

Last Day in Florence

Our final day in Florence, we actually headed back to Castello del Trebbio. It was such beautiful place and an amazing wedding the day before, so we wanted to head back and explore a little more.

Next up on our travels, is Lake Como. Besides the wedding, Lake Como is what Cam has been most excited for on this whole Europe trip! Thank you so much for tuning into our Florence, Italy vlog – stay tuned for our next stop! Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube Channel for more – we’ll see you next time!
