Fall Twin Cities Wedding

Okay, we can’t start this blog post without acknowledging the weather. As photographers, when you check the forecast and see snow on the radar, your palms get super sweaty. Yes, snow is more difficult to shoot in sometimes, between keeping tabs on the bridal party that they aren’t freezing their booties off and depending on how hard it’s coming down – keeping focus. But, when a bride signs up for a December wedding in Minnesota, she knows what she’s in for. When a bride signs up for October 12th, she expects fall colors and a cool breeze. Well, Lindsay definitely got fall colors (THE BEST), a cool (or should we say bone shivering) breeze, and some light, soft snow. Two seasons in one – it’s a win! But even more so, it’s a win when the bride and groom (and their entire bridal party) are game to do whatever and take advantage of the beauty! This crew was the best!!

The Crown Room

Our day started off with the dreamiest of details – perfectly coordinated with their merlot and navy pops of color. And then, once portraits began, we were in for a treat. Lindsay and Nick are complete naturals in front of the camera, like seriously, I could have packed up and gone home because they didn’t need any directing (so much so, that they modeled for a styled shoot for us earlier this year)! We finished the night at The Crown Room for some gorgeous husband and wife portraits and a packed dance floor full of energy.

Lindsay and Nick, you guys fit like puzzle pieces together. Everything around y’all feels chill and relaxed, but not because you guys are lacking energy or fun, just because you are so wonderful at allowing everyone around you to be themselves. Through this two year engagement, we feel blessed for all of our little moments with you guys. We hope you marriage is filled with lots of dips, dance moves in the kitchen, and more epic trips!
