Erickson Farmstead Wedding

Everything about a wedding at Erickson Farmstead feels relaxed. Emilie and Zack got ready in a huge farmhouse with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the morning with their family and friends. Their two dogs, Ash and Henry, meandered through the getting ready bustle and snuggled on the couches. Later in the day, on the dance floor, all of the guests surrounded a patio strung with hanging cafe lights, sipping drinks, and chatting. Or they joined in on a yard game or hit the dance floor. It’s the definition of laid back.

Golden Glow at Erickson Farmstead

When we met Zack and Emilie for engagement photos, we got a cold, snowy day. A cold, snowy day can still be gorgeous in its own right, as we head to Taylor’s Falls and they got ice waterfalls, puppy pictures galore, and cliffs overlooking the frozen river. But we didn’t really get any sort of sunset that night. Emilie told us at the wedding that she was crossing her fingers for an ooey-gooey warm golden glow of a sunset that evening, and she got it!! We head out to the field behind Erickson and the golden glow hit the flowers and field just right. Their sunset photos are some of our favorite of the entire day!!
