We’re in Copenhagen! Welcome back to our travel vlog, tune in with us as we meet up with our friend Alex and explore the streets of Copenhagen! From the food, to the sightseeing, to our word of advice about traveling to Copenhagen, you’ll want to see this one.

If you saw our Netherlands vlog, you met our friends Zach and Solveig! They moved to the Netherlands in 2020 and we got to visit them, which was so much fun. In Copenhagen, we met another friend – Alex! He is also from Minnesota originally, but he is currently living in London with his fiancé Ava. We went to visit them in London in 2019, so this time around he is met us in Copenhagen! It was super fun to be able to see another one of our good friends while we’re here.

Day 1 – Nyhavn

Day one of our Copenhagen vlog consisted of a TON of sightseeing! We spent time in Nyhavn, which is an old waterfront canal and entertainment district and we had tons of great food before we took off sightseeing! And for those wondering, of course we got our fav – oysters!

The trees are in full bloom in Copenhagen which makes for GORGEOUS walks through the parks. We saw Rosenborg Castle, Ostre Anlage Park, visited at Kastellet and even stopped to see the Little Mermaid Statue!

After, we explored Amalienborg which is home to the royal family and a museum about the Danish monarchy! It was such a fun day learning so much about Danish culture and seeing the amazing sights of Copenhagen.

Day 2 – Torvehallerne

Our second day of our Copenhagen vlog started out with a stop at a yummy bakery called Umiddelbar! We decided to take a boat tour just to get a general sense of Copenhagen and see more of what we didn’t get to see on day 1. There is so much character in Copenhagen with the colorful houses and the shops by the water, SO fun!

After the boat tour, we found a super chic looking food market – Torvehallerne! There was fresh food and TONS of shops where we walked around to. Another favorite part of Copenhagen is the castles everywhere! They’re everywhere you look with tons of big statues, it was so cool to see.

Of course, we had to stop and get gelato and eventually got dinner at Frankie’s Pizza. We ended the night with some dancing in the square, an overall great day with great company!

Day 3 – Reffen

The final full day of our Copenhagen vlog, we started off taking it easy in the morning. We ate some breakfast and then hopped on a harbor bus to take us across the harbor to a shipping container food market (um, SO COOL). This was our first harbor bus experience, so it took us a minute to figure out how it worked – but we made it to Reffen!

Reffen was so cool – shipping containers everywhere with every food you could imagine. YUM!

After Reffen, we decided to do some thrill-seeking and climb the Church of Our Saviour Tower. It was terrifying. 1/10 experience. The stairs on the inside were super scary, it was scary on the outside, and it was hard to get a good view where I felt like I had stable footing. Definitely an experience!

Finally, for our last night in Copenhagen with Alex, we took advantage of the open bottle laws and drank Cava on the canal and spent quality time together before heading out to dinner.

A word of advice to anyone thinking about traveling to Copenhagen! Everything is SO expensive. For reference, Alex got a burger for lunch at a food market with a price tag of $28. Great vibes, but very expensive.

Last Day in Copenhagen

To start off our last day in Copenhagen, we got some yummy food at the Gasoline Grill, a redone gas station in the middle of the square. We spent some quality time with Alex before he hopped on a flight back to London, and we got ready to jump on the train to our next stop!

Thanks for tuning in to our Copenhagen vlog, stay tuned to see where we end up next! As always, don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube Channel! Leave any questions you have for us in the comments of the vlog – we’ll see you on Thursday with a new video!
