Claire + Eli Married

Eli & Claire’s day was a great reminder of what we love about weddings – a day solely focused on the couple and what’s most important to them. So many intentional choices made up an amazing, personal day!

A Family Affair

Claire and Eli’s wedding day was a family affair. Their bridal party was all family, their mom’s lit the unity candles, and Eli’s father was his best man. Eli’s sisters and Claire’s sister giggled around Claire as we photographed the bridesmaid’s photos. A different sister picked up Claire’s train each time and laid it out for her and a different sister was ready to bring her a drink of water and check in to make sure she had everything she needed. Eli’s brother and sister-in-law officiated their ceremony with the most personal, deliberate touches. Eli’s dad took the microphone to toast the newlyweds and had the whole room in tears after detailing entering Eli’s life when he was young and adopting him at age 18.

But, it was not only evident that Claire and Eli surrounded by their wonderful families due to the intentional choices they made for their day, but also, how much of their families qualities and characteristics run deep through this couple.

Runs in the Family

The kindness that Eli’s sisters showed? It bleeds through Eli as he greets all of his friends and family and meets wedding guests that he has heard so much about. The class and elegance that you immediately feel when greeted by Claire’s parents? It’s written all over Claire as she reads her hand written vows and squeezes Eli’s hand as he reads his. And just as Eli’s dad got up and captivated the guests with his emotional toast, Eli does the same. Eli stood to thank the guests for coming and supporting them through their journey together. He expressed how to them, everyone in the room was family. A family that had lifted them up, encouraged their relationship, and stood by them.

Their Perfect Day

Eli & Claire’s day was a great reminder of what we love about weddings – a day solely focused on the couple and what’s most important to them. Claire was so organized before the day and pair that with her chill attitude it equated to the most dreamy day.  She enlisted an awesome vendor team to allow her relax and trust her day into other’s hands – hair by the SM team, makeup by Heather Trachsel, and the most amazing getting ready spaces (brides – you need to check out Studio 125 & 130 — stunning aesthetic, tons of space to spread out, and lighting perfection).

Then they took the party to Pinstripes where their guests could gather in different areas, still party on the dance floor but also play bocce and bowl. Their day was so lovely and a photographer’s dream. It got us SO excited to do our job and we absolutely loved it. Almost as much as we love the both of you. Claire & Eli, thank you, from the bottom of our heart, for the trust you placed in us to document the biggest day of your life together thus far. We hope you love looking back on these memories as much as we loved capturing them for you. We are so lucky to have been there for the both of you on Saturday and to have you as sweet friends for a lifetime.
