WHEW! We had a quick 12 hour layover in the Amsterdam airport and decided to stay right inside the airport – at Yotel Air. We had never stayed inside a Yotel Air but thought it might make our nighttime layover a lot easier. Join us for this video to see how it went and how tiny our room was!

On our recent family vacation to Portugal, we had an overnight layover in Amsterdam. Instead of dreading the idea of sleeping in the airport, we decided to check out the Yotel Air hotel inside the airport. And let me tell you, it was quite an experience!

As soon as we landed, we set off on a mission to find our tiny hotel room. And when I say tiny, I mean TINY. But that’s all part of the charm! I gave our viewers a quick tour of the room. When you walk in, our bed is folded up into what looks like a small couch, but it can easily fold down into a full bed! They also had a table that could fold out, a chair attached to the wall that you could bring down, and overall make use of the tiny space. Even the bathroom was compact but totally functional.

It was SO nice to spend the layover in a nice bed and to even get a shower in. Then it was time to check out! All we had to do was walk out and we were right there at the gates! It just goes to show that sometimes the most unexpected situations can lead to the best adventures. So next time you find yourself in an airport overnight (like the Amsterdam airport), take a page out of our book and make the most of it!
