Choose between our three amazing locations that are all all-star choices. We know that each of these locations have awesome light, fun backdrops, and tons of variety.
No need for you to purchase each image over here! You receive your fully-edited digital images on an online gallery where you can download them and print them wherever you please. This could include skin smoothing, acne removal, and/or teeth whitening. Your specific preferences will be discussed at your shoot.

But if you and your family desire a more detailed and in-depth retouching experience, you can purchase advanced retouching. This could include removal of hair flyaways, excessive acne, scar removal, or teeth whitening.

A majority of our senior session availability falls in the mornings. If for any reason, whether activity conflicts, work schedules, or general interest causes you to desire an evening session, we offer a handful of evening sessions each summer. We offer these sessions with an upgrade fee as these sessions are always our first to book up. Unfortunately, once gone, they're gone. So if you're desiring an evening session, grab it will you can. To upgrade, be sure to select an evening session on the calendar below which will direct you to evening time slots.

Choosing from all the options in the twin cities can be overwhelming. Thus, it was important to us that we put together a variety of options for our clients to choose from that cater to different styles, personalities, and preferences. Please note that different dates are available for different locations because we photograph at the same location (or close proximity locations) in one day. Thus, if you have a restrictive schedule with limited availability, that may dictate your location choices. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is the crème-of-the-crop of nature locations. “The Arb” has fountains, gardens, a trellis, hedge paths, and mini waterfalls. We can also drive around a 5-mile-drive to spend time in a boho, wild open field. Also, on the drive is a traditional red barn with a hill where the sun turns a warm orange as it drops over the horizon.

St. Anthony Main is located right on the river overlooking the city skyline. We can pose by the river to see Stone Arch Bridge and the skyline, but also take advantage of the cute, cobblestone road winding around cafes and coffee shops. Lastly, we can hop on the iconic Stone Arch Bridge to a take your-breath-away view of the city.

Downtown Excelsior features the quaint main street that has the hustle and bustle of a tourist town. There are many different backdrops from rich brick to colorful textures. We can also head down to the traditional dock over Lake Minnetonka that has thick rope and white distressed textures. Lastly, we can head down to the beach to mingle in the water and sand.

Please know that our turnaround time for your edited images is two weeks. It is your responsibility to know your high school’s yearbook deadline date (most schools send out this date in May of your junior year) and to budget in time for your shoot, the turnaround time, and time to decide on your yearbook photo before the deadline.
Dates are first come first serve and are only considered booked with a paid session fee and signed contract. We cannot consider verbally claimed dates as “booked.” Since we have sold out of Senior Experience dates the past three years, it’s important to book early to claim your spot.
Though we can shoot in a number of weather conditions, should we experience inclement weather on your session date, we have the ability to reschedule sessions for those unique cases. We block “blackout dates” into our schedule that we do not book sessions on and only utilize for rescheduled senior dates.
Many of our seniors choose to get their hair and makeup professionally done and due to the nature of this, should there be a 80% or greater chance of rain during your session showing up 24 hours before, we will always reschedule the session. We don’t want you to pay for your hair and makeup services only to not be able to have your Senior Experience later in the day. Though, with the fickle nature of Minnesota weather, we will always be in contact day of should conditions decline.
It is important to note that many weather variations can produce amazing Senior Experience session results. A cloudy, cool day may not feel as awesome as a bright, sunny day, but that cloudy day will produce even and consistent lighting – which is amazing!
We are natural light photographers, so none of our Senior Experiences take place indoors, but instead, enjoying the beauty and natural light of the Minnesota outdoors.
Note that though Senior Experiences include up to one hour of coverage, the total time commitment can vary due to outfit changes.
Note that no matter the time of day, we strive for even lighting to make our images consistent with anything that you see here on our website. Though, the light later in the day will always appear soften and more flattering on features. If you have the availability, we always recommend choosing the latest available time slot. If a warm, golden sunset is your preference, the latest time slot will cater towards that as well (of course, pending weather that day).
