In this video, I’m diving into our week of workflow as a wedding photographer. I’ll be sharing all the important steps we take to make sure everything runs smoothly and our couples get the red carpet client experience they deserve!

One of the most important things I talk about in the video is the importance of having a workflow. If you don’t have one, things can easily fall through the cracks, especially when you have weddings back to back. Trust me, we’ve been there! That’s why we’ve developed a step-by-step week of workflow that ensures we never miss a beat!

Communication, Preparation, Celebration!

Step 1 is all about communication. We always send our couples a check-in email through Honeybook, which is our go-to client management system. The email includes all the details about when and where we’ll be on the wedding day, and it’s really just a security blanket for our couples. If there are any last-minute changes, we can quickly address them and make sure everyone is on the same page.

In Step 2, we double check that our trunk is packed with all the essentials we’ll need on the wedding day, from styling mats to emergency supplies. We even made a video showing how we pack our trunk, which I’ll link for you HERE to check out!

Step 3 is all about celebrating our couples! We post about them on our Instagram stories and Facebook page, which is then shared to our Couples Facebook page. This also helps keep us top of mind for potential future clients and lets guests at the wedding know who’s capturing all the special moments.

Printing Timelines & Reviewing Questionnaires!

Step 4 is when we print out my timelines. We love having a physical copy in our hands to reference and check off as we go. On the back, we also include VIP names, family members, and vendors, as well as a shot list that’s been meticulously planned out. If you need help creating the perfect shot list and how to nail family photos, we have a video on that too HERE!

In Step 5, we review our couples’ wedding questionnaire. This is the final step where we gather all the last-minute details, from addresses to final timelines. If you don’t have a questionnaire yet, I highly recommend creating one to ensure you’re getting all the information you need to give your clients the best experience possible. You can buy our template in our shop!

The only other thing we do is on the morning of the wedding, which I talk about in another video that is linked for you HERE. If you’re interested in learning even more about our workflow and why we do what we do, we have a full course that goes in-depth into these steps and more. The Business Lab has allllll of the info you need to become a pro just like us!

Thanks for tuning in to our week of workflow for wedding photographers. I hope you found it helpful and informative. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave to ask away. And don’t forget to subscribe to our channel for more videos like this one!
