Handy Timer Feature
This TikTok tutorial is to show you how to use the handy timer countdown feature! First, I’m going to go into TikTok and make a post. You’re going to find it on the left-hand side. Then, I’ll press the timer button. From there, you can choose either 3 seconds or 10 seconds! What it’s going to do is count down from there. In the video, I’m going to show you with a sound so it makes a little more sense.
3 Second Countdown
I’m going to click the sound I want, and turn up the volume so you can hear it. I clicked on Love You So, it plays a part of it, and then I’m going to select it. What happens is, it’s going to start playing when I hit the timer. This is so that I can select how long I want the clip to go. The song will start at the beginning and then I can use my selector to say, okay I only want the clip to go 3.6 seconds. That could be based on timing, maybe it’s based on the way the song hits or how many beats I want in it.
Next, it’s going to show me how it’s going to sound and then pauses right there. Then I’m going to hit start countdown. It’s going to go three, two, one and it during that time, I can prop up my phone and go handless, or maybe backup and get in my starting position!
10 Second Countdown
So for the 10 second countdown, it’s going to be the same thing! I can go to the timer, select a little section I want, and it will play for me. This time, I’m going to select 10 seconds. This will give me plenty of time to back up super far and get in my starting position. Then, it will record the section of the song that I selected.
This is a great way to put pieces together of a video and be able to go handsfree. After that, I’ll press the check mark and it’s going to show me those two clips we did. The first one, and then cuts immediately into the second one.
After I hit next, I’ll be able to post! Easy peasy using the timer function.
