Welcome back to our TikTok tutorial series – today, we’re diving into how to add a voiceover on TikTok! If you haven’t seen our other tutorials yet, head on over to our Youtube channel and find our TikTok playlist. As always, if you have any questions or comments, or you have a suggestions for a TikTok tutorial – drop them in the comments! Let’s dive right in!
Step 1 – Open TikTok
Our first step on how to add a voiceover on TikTok is to open the app, and hit post. From there, you can record a brand new video or you can upload one from your camera roll! After you’ve selected the video you want to upload, the voiceover button will be on the right hand side. It will look like a microphone!
Step 2 – Add the Voiceover
Once you click on that voiceover button, you have two options. You can either press the microphone button and release – that will allow you to continuously record the voiceover. When you press the button again, it will stop. The other option is to press and long hold. When you release, it will stop!
In this example, I pressed and long held the button and said, “Welcome! This is Lake Como, Italy” and released. I can scroll across the video to see where I would like to add more voiceovers.
I’ll drag a little farther and add, “You can see the mountains surrounding us, it was amazing!”. Dragging a little further, I’ll add “what more would you like to see?”
If I missed a section that I wanted to add the voiceover to, I can always scroll backwards on the video and add it then!
Step 3 – Undoing the Voiceover
On the next step of our tutorial, how to add a voiceover on TikTok, I show you how to undo the voice recording. Super easy! If you hit the undo button right after you’re done recording, it will erase that section. I can hit the save button on the bottom corner of the video and hear it all together. If I decide to erase something I hit back, click the recording I don’t like, and then hit undo. I can re-record that section if I need to.
I also have the option of adding a voiceover to make a continuous audio. It will automatically stop where the next voiceover starts so it won’t record over and be a jumbled mess of audio!
Step 4 – Save, Next, and Post!
From there, you can hit save, next, and then post! Super easy, that is how to add a voiceover on TikTok!
